The high-level meeting will be chaired by the prime minister and is expected to focus on formulating a potential counter-strategy in response to India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, restrictions on Pakistani nationals, closure of the Wagah border, and downsizing of diplomatic staff.

Sources confirm that the meeting will be attended by the ministers for foreign affairs, interior, and defence, along with the national security adviser, heads of the armed forces, top intelligence officials, and other relevant authorities.

The NSC will also be briefed on the overall regional security landscape, growing border tensions, and threats to national security.
