According to the ANF spokesperson, the Port Control Unit conducted a raid at the Karachi Gateway Terminal based on a tip-off. During the inspection of a Dubai-bound shipping container, the team discovered crystal meth expertly hidden in packets labeled as broast masala.

The ANF recovered 200 kg of the highly addictive drug, which was being smuggled to Dubai’s Jebel Ali Port. The international market value of the seized narcotics exceeds Rs2 billion.

The consignment had been booked by Al Shams Import Export, a company based in Multan. Efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the smuggling attempt.

Officials stated that 2,000 spice packets were found in the container, many of which were used to discreetly hide the drugs. Investigations are ongoing to trace the full network behind the operation.
