A police spokesperson confirmed that each quadcopter will feature high-resolution cameras, extended range, and the capacity to carry grenades for tactical operations.

The drones will support field operations of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and play a key role in anti-dacoit missions, particularly in the Kacha region.

Authorities have estimated the cost of each drone at Rs 2,194,000, bringing the total procurement budget to approximately Rs 74.5 million.

The bidding process is currently open, with interested companies required to register by April 28, 2025.

Officials will open the tenders on the same day, and procurement will commence immediately afterward.

Police officials confirmed that the purchase will be finalized before the conclusion of the current fiscal year.
