According to NADRA officials, there are serious doubts about Arshad Khan’s nationality, and he may potentially be a foreign citizen. Legal notices were issued to him under the NADRA Ordinance 2000, but he failed to appear before the verification board for several years.

Even in 2024, Arshad Khan was unable to provide the required documents. NADRA stated that he failed to submit proof of land ownership, a valid domicile, and educational records from before 1979 — all of which are essential for verifying citizenship.

NADRA’s statement further noted that several discrepancies were found in Arshad Khan’s personal records. Irregularities in his name change and family registration have also emerged, casting further doubt on his identity.
