According to a new notification issued on the recommendation of the DIG Traffic, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city between 6am and 10pm. The restriction also applies to construction-related dumper trucks.

However, certain routes will remain open for heavy traffic. As per the notification, heavy vehicles will be allowed to travel from Super Highway to New Karachi Industrial Area via Slip Road.

Similarly, they can move from National Highway to Godam Chowrangi via Manzar Petrol Pump, Younus Chowrangi, and Jam Sadiq.

Heavy vehicles will also be permitted to operate from Northern Bypass to Paracha Chowk, State Avenue, Siemens Chowrangi, and Gulbai.
