The incident occurred at a KFC branch located at Bypass Chowk in the jurisdiction of the Police Station Housing Colony.

According to police and rescue officials, an unidentified assailant entered the restaurant’s kitchen and opened fire on 45-year-old Asif Nawaz, a staff member and resident of Khan Colony.

Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital by Rescue 1122, Nawaz succumbed to his injuries.

Following the shooting, police in coordination with intelligence agencies launched a large-scale search operation across Sheikhupura.

Multiple raids were conducted, and several suspects were taken into custody.

Authorities confirmed that the investigation is being pursued in the context of the broader campaign against fast-food franchises and ruled out personal enmity as a motive.

The police have successfully arrested two individuals, identified as Mansoor and Muhammad Hassan, in connection with a violent incident at a restaurant in Karachi’s Defence area.

The demonstrators, part of an anti-Israel protest, targeted the KFC and Domino’s franchises. Police were called to the scene to manage the situation.
