The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has announced a nationwide movement in response.

According to Indian media, the General Secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Mohammad Fazlur Rahman Mujaddidi, declared that “the leadership will not shy away from any sacrifice and, in collaboration with justice-loving forces, a strong movement will be launched against the oppressive amendments.”

Maulana Mujaddidi stated that the campaign will begin with a massive public gathering at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, which will continue until Eid-ul-Adha.

He further said that the first phase of the movement will feature a week-long campaign titled “Save Waqf, Save the Constitution.” The Board will pursue legal avenues by challenging the amendments in the Supreme Court and will engage in peaceful protests.

Maulana Mujaddidi also added that Muslim leaders in every Indian state will offer symbolic arrests, and protests will be organized at the district level.
