The Prime Minister has established a high-level committee to ensure the timely arrangements for the quota of 70,000 pilgrims participating in the private Hajj scheme.

This decision comes in response to issues of non-compliance regarding Saudi Arabia’s Hajj policy.

The newly formed committee includes prominent figures such as the Secretary of the Cabinet, the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and the Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

Their primary responsibility will be to investigate the lack of implementation of Saudi Arabia’s revised 2025 policy through the Ministry of Religious Affairs and private Hajj operators.

The committee will assess the Ministry’s efforts to complete the necessary formalities required for private Hajj operators and will work diligently to meet the deadline established by Saudi authorities.

They have been instructed to investigate any significant failures that may jeopardize the pilgrimage plans for thousands of Pakistani believers in 2025.
