In the monthly adjustment, electricity prices for K-Electric consumers have been reduced by Rs. 3.02 per unit, while for the rest of the country (excluding Karachi), the price has been reduced by 46 paisa per unit.

Separate notifications have been issued regarding the reduction in electricity prices under the monthly adjustment, and consumers will receive the relief in their April bills.

For K-Electric, the reduction was made in the January 2025 monthly adjustment, while for the rest of the country, the reduction was applied in the February 2025 adjustment.

NEPRA has reduced electricity prices by Rs. 1.90 per unit across the country, including Karachi, under the quarterly adjustment for October to December 2024.

The reduction in electricity prices will apply to all DISCOs consumers, including K-Electric, and will be effective for three months from April to June 2025.

Consumers will receive a relief of Rs. 56.38 billion due to this reduction; however, lifeline consumers will not be eligible for this benefit.

According to the notification, power distribution companies had requested a reduction in electricity prices under the quarterly adjustment. NEPRA had conducted a hearing on this request in February before approving the reduction.
