According to police, the deceased Umar Lund had killed TikToker bandit Shahid Lund a few months ago.

Following the incident, a heavy police contingent reached the crime scene. Sources suggest the attack was likely an act of revenge, as there had been fears of retaliation from Shahid Lund’s associates after his murder.

In November 2024, Shahid Lund was allegedly killed by his own associates. However, sources claim that a verbal altercation between Shahid Lund and Umar Lund escalated into an exchange of gunfire, resulting in the death of the most-wanted dacoit.

Punjab government had placed a bounty of Rs10 million on Shahid Lund’s head, as he was wanted for multiple serious crimes, including murder and robbery.

Sources allege that Punjab Police had orchestrated the assassination of Shahid Lund through the notorious dacoit Umar Lund. A senior police officer stationed in Alipur reportedly convinced Umar Lund to eliminate Shahid Lund, offering to drop charges against him and provide full protection for his family in return.

Media reports suggest that after killing Shahid Lund, Umar Lund and his brother sought refuge with Rojhan Police. Umar Lund had over a dozen criminal cases registered against him in Rojhan and Rahim Yar Khan. Following Shahid Lund’s murder, heavy police security was deployed outside Umar Lund’s residence.

Reports further reveal that Umar Lund arranged a gathering attended by 8 to 10 dacoits from Sindh, during which he shot and killed Shahid Lund on the spot.

Sources claim that after killing Shahid Lund, Umar Lund intended to eliminate more gang members from Sindh, but his rifle jammed during the shooting. He then attempted to fire a rocket launcher at the dacoits, but the launcher’s pin got stuck while firing the second rocket. After the incident, Umar crossed a small river, reached Rajanpur, and surrendered to the authorities.
