According to police, the constable, posted in the East District, was returning home after shopping with friends when two armed robbers intercepted him. During the attempted robbery, the suspects held a weapon to the constable’s head. Acting swiftly, the policeman opened fire, killing both suspects on the spot.

SSP East Dr Farukh Raza stated that weapons were recovered from the deceased, whose identities have not yet been established. Further investigation is underway.
