      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced a remission in sentences for prisoners on Eid al-Fitr.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the spokesperson, Murad Ali Shah has approved a 120-day remission for convicted prisoners in Sindh. A total of 820 prisoners will benefit from this pardon; however, it will not apply to those involved in anti-state activities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The spokesperson further stated that the remission will also not apply to prisoners convicted of the death penalty, murder, espionage, terrorism, rape, and robbery.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The decision is made based on humanitarian considerations and within the legal framework of the Sindh Prisons &amp;amp; Corrections Rules 2019. The request for this remission was sent by the Inspector General of Prisons.&lt;/p&gt;
