According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these operations were conducted on March 26 and 27, targeting extremist hideouts in various locations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In an intelligence-based operation in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, security forces effectively targeted a terrorist hideout, resulting in the elimination of five Khawarij.

The ISPR spokesperson stated that another operation in the same area led to the successful elimination of three more terrorists.

In a separate encounter in Miran Shah, North Waziristan, security forces neutralised two Khawarij.

A fourth operation was carried out in Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan, where security forces killed one terrorist. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain extremists.

The ISPR spokesperson noted that these terrorists were actively involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the region.

A sanitisation operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats. Security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country.

PM pays tribute to security forces

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for their successful operations against extremist terrorists in Mir Ali and Miran Shah in North Waziristan and Daraban in Dera Ismail Khan.

The prime minister commended the elimination of 11 extremist terrorists, emphasizing that the entire nation stands with security forces in the fight against terrorism.

He reaffirmed the government’s determination to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country altogether.
