According to the seismological center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. The tremors were felt at a depth of 198 kilometers.

Residents in Peshawar and surrounding areas, including Swat, Swabi, Nowshera, Dir, Lower Dir, Chitral, Shangla, Rustam, Takht Bhai, Batkhela, Attock, Kamra, Hazro, Malakand, Khyber, and Buner, also reported experiencing the quake.

The federal capital, Islamabad, along with Nathia Gali and nearby regions, also felt the tremors. Panic spread as people evacuated their homes, offices, and shops in fear.
