Mallick was presented in the Malir Court by officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The journalist is accused of posting anti-state videos on a digital YouTube channel.

The court inquired about the nature of these videos and requested to see the evidence, as well as asking who the complainant in the case is.

Mallick’s lawyer informed the court that a staff member from their office is the complainant, and all relevant material is available online.

He was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Karachi on March 20.

Raftar’s editor, Fahad Kyar, and Farhan Malik’s legal representative, Advocate Abdul Moiz Jaffery, have confirmed the arrest.

He was recently arrested by the FIA, has been presented before the Judicial Magistrate East in Karachi on March 21.

In the Sindh High Court, journalist Farhan Mallick has filed a petition seeking the dismissal of a case against him under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) on March 24.
