A case was registered against Rajab Butt under the PECA Act, accusing him of hurting religious sentiments.

The latest controversy arose from his new perfume ‘295’, which he introduced in his YouTube vlog. The name of the perfume alluded to Pakistan’s blasphemy law, leading to severe criticism on social media.

Subsequently, Rajab Butt deleted the video and announced a halt in the perfume’s sales.

Rajab Butt is currently in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah, and he has not yet been arrested. After expressing his apology, he recorded a video in a state of Ihram inside the Grand Mosque and shared it on social media.

He began by reciting Darood Pak and then the Kalma, stating that “my wealth, life, parents, children, and every drop of blood is sacrificed for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).”

Rajab Butt said, “Regarding the issues concerning me on social media, I swear at this holy place that I did nothing intentionally.” He added that what happened was due to ignorance, and he apologized again, pleading for people to clear their hearts for him.

He appealed to religious scholars, the Punjab government, and the Pakistan Army to reconsider the case registered against him under the PECA Act and to provide justice.

He claimed to be facing false accusations and offered further clarification on the matter. At the end of the video, he once again apologized to Allah, His Messenger, and the Muslims.

Rajab Butt has previously made headlines due to controversial statements and content on social media, and several cases have been registered against him.

In December last year, he was arrested for possessing a lion cub and illegal weapons without a license, although he was later released on bail.
