Sources told Aaj News the investigating officer quietly submitted the interim challan, which mentioned Sahir Hussain’s alleged involvement in purchasing and cultivating cannabis. The document also listed a co-accused, Bazil Ashiq, as an absconder.

The court raised concerns about the absence of critical details in the challan. It pointed out that there was no mention of Sahir Hussain’s bank accounts or the identities of accomplices. Additionally, the document failed to clarify from whom Sahir Hussain allegedly procured drugs and to whom he supplied them.

District Prosecutor Shakeel Abbasi had objected that the challan did not mention Sajid Hussain’s manager, who allegedly handled drug payments. The investigating officer also classified a suspect named Yahya under “Column 2,” indicating a lack of evidence against him.

The police had submitted the interim challan on March 19, but the court has now ordered the prosecution to address all objections before resubmitting the case.

Sahid Hussain is son of actor Sajid Hasan. Some media outlets initially reported his name to Sahir Hassan, but it was later corrected to be Hussain.
