During the operation on the Northern Bypass, authorities seized more than 84 kilograms of cannabis from a vehicle, while the driver managed to escape.

According to Deputy Collector Customs, Raza Naqvi, the operation was initiated based on a tip-off, leading customs officials to signal a suspicious vehicle near the Northern Bypass. However, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

Upon inspection, officials discovered 84.5 kilograms of cannabis in the trunk, with an estimated value of Rs14.2 million.

The vehicle itself is valued at around Rs5 million. Customs authorities have seized both the vehicle and the drugs, initiated legal proceedings, and formed teams to apprehend the fleeing suspect.

In a separate operation in the Uthal area of Balochistan, the Pakistan Coast Guards recovered 575 bottles of high-quality foreign liquor and 582 cans of beer.
