The band made the announcement via their Instagram, following Arevalo’s earlier decision in February to step back from touring to address “mental health and personal issues.”

While Goose did not elaborate on specific allegations, they stated, “We have been made aware of behavior in Jeff’s personal life that does not align with the band’s core values. As a result, Jeff will no longer be a part of the Goose organization.”

They emphasized the unfortunate and unexpected nature of this decision, affirming their commitment to uphold the values that define their community, particularly regarding respect and safety.

This announcement comes just ahead of the release of their highly anticipated album, Everything Must Go, set to debut next month.

Goose has previously undergone lineup changes, including the departure of original drummer Ben Atkind, who was replaced by Cotter Ellis.

Arevalo, who joined Goose in 2020, played a significant role as a percussionist and occasionally contributed guitar and vocals, leading performances such as their cover of The Clash’s “Rock the Casbah.”

He was also a founding member of the acoustic side project Orebelo alongside Rick Mitarotonda and Peter Anspach.
