The FIR, filed under Section 8 of the Peaceful Assembly Act, was lodged at the Kohsar police station on behalf of the City Magistrate.

According to the complaint, activist Farzana Bari led a protest with approximately 100 to 150 women, while another group comprising 50 to 60 members of the Muslim Students Organisation and the Islamic Ideology Party gathered at Shahid-e-Millat Chowk.

The student group attempted to obstruct the Aurat March participants, leading to a confrontation with slogans being chanted from both sides.

Additionally, the enforcement of Section 144 in Islamabad prohibits all forms of protests, making the gatherings by Farzana Bari and Bilal Rabbani a violation of the law.
