According to sources, Elon Musk’s company, Starlink, has made significant progress towards its Pakistan launch.

The company has secured all necessary NOCs required for licensing, and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is now moving forward with the issuance of its operational license.

Sources confirm that Starlink has met all regulatory requirements set by the Space Regulatory Board.

Following clearance from the Ministry of Interior, the board has now issued the required NOC. PTA is expected to grant Starlink its official license within the next two weeks.

Regulatory insiders highlight that the NOC from the Space Regulatory Board was a mandatory step for satellite service approval.

Now that Starlink has obtained this clearance, PTA is set to begin the licensing process.

It is worth noting that Starlink had already submitted its technical and business plans to PTA along with its license application.

The company has completed three phases of its registration process in Pakistan.

Starlink has secured registrations from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).

Additionally, the company has received approval from the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Board, leaving PTA’s final registration as the last step before its official launch.

Following the introduction of the National Satellite Policy in 2023 and the implementation of Space Activities Rules in 2024, Starlink is set to significantly improve internet connectivity across Pakistan, heralding a new era in the country’s digital landscape.
