The Foreign Office has clarified that the Pakistani delegation’s visit to Israel has no connection with the Government of Pakistan.

Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan reaffirmed that Pakistan’s stance on Israel remains unchanged, and the country strongly condemns Israel’s violations of the ceasefire agreement.

During the weekly briefing, Khan addressed various issues, including reports of US entry restrictions on Pakistani officials.

He stated that the US State Department has denied these claims, dismissing them as mere speculation.

He also described the recent meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as highly positive.

Reiterating Pakistan’s position on the Israel-Palestine conflict, Khan condemned the atrocities against Palestinians and urged the international community to hold Israel accountable.

The spokesperson also addressed security concerns, emphasising that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) pose serious threats to Pakistan’s security.

He called on the Afghan government to take verifiable action against terrorists.

Regarding border operations, Khan stated that the Torkham border will remain open under the existing mechanism until April 15, and pedestrian movement will resume from tomorrow.

He also confirmed that the summoning of the Afghan diplomat was a routine matter and noted that India has not condemned the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express.

He clarified that there has been no change in the deadline for foreign nationals residing in Pakistan illegally.
