According to sources within the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), investigators have gathered inflammatory content that allegedly supports anti-state activities and propaganda.

JIT sources claim that during interrogations, they collected provocative material linked to PTI, and close relatives of PTI leadership were found involved in these activities.

The JIT has recommended action against absconders allegedly connected to this campaign. The propaganda was reportedly orchestrated through offshore account handlers.

According to JIT sources, the anti-state propaganda campaign was managed both domestically and through offshore handlers, with financial backing from foreign lobbies and PTI leadership.

These lobbies were also actively involved in controlling the campaign, further reinforcing PTI’s alleged role in spreading negative narratives against the state.

The JIT, which was established under the Electronic Crimes Act of 2016, is investigating PTI members over their involvement in social media propaganda.

The investigation team is actively recommending legal and administrative action against suspects, including absconders and non-compliant individuals.

Additionally, sources revealed that PTI’s Central Media Division and social media team did not operate through the so-called ‘volunteer force’, contradicting previous claims.

The federal government-formed JIT is being led by the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police, overseeing the probe into the social media campaign and its alleged anti-state motives.
