&lt;p&gt;The last approval came in October for 500,000 tons, while on September 25, the federal cabinet sanctioned the export of 100,000 metric tons.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In June, the government allowed the export of 150,000 tons, setting a benchmark retail price of Rs145.15 per kg.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Authorities had decided to halt exports immediately if domestic prices exceeded this benchmark.&lt;/p&gt;
