      <title>Shawwal moon expected to be sighted on March 30, predicts PMD</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Pakistan Meteorological Department has announced that the new moon of Shawwal is anticipated to be sighted on the evening of March 30.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the notification issued, “the new moon will be born on the crossing conjunction point at 3:58  PST on March 29.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The date corresponds to the 29th of Ramzan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The notification stated that “astronomical data showed a good chance of sighting the new moon, with weather conditions expected to be partly cloudy to fair across most regions of the country.”&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The federal government has &lt;a href="https://english.aaj.tv/news/330407792/govt-approves-three-day-holiday-for-eidul-fitr"&gt;approved&lt;/a&gt; a three-day public holiday for Eid ul-Fitr.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, along with its zonal committees, will meet on Sunday evening, March 30.&lt;/p&gt;
