The bogies of Jafar Express arrived in Quetta after the Bolan incident, bearing bullet marks. They will be prepared for travel following necessary repairs.

The Jafar Express, scheduled to travel from Quetta to Peshawar, will not operate tomorrow.

Railway control reported that repairs on Jafar Express remain incomplete. Cleaning tasks for the train are also ongoing. The train’s departure for Peshawar will occur only after full repairs and cleaning are finalized.

On March 11, the banned BLA launched an attack on Jafar Express, holding over 400 passengers hostage. Security forces neutralized all 33 terrorists following a two-day operation.

On March 14, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Army addressed inquiries about casualties from the attack, confirming that 26 passengers died, and 354 hostages were rescued, including 37 injuries.

Eighteen deceased were from the Army and FC, three from railways and other departments, and five were civilians.

The head of the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department indicated that the eastern neighbor sponsors terrorism in Pakistan. Following the Jafar Express attack, Indian media disseminated false AI-generated videos and promoted content supporting terrorists.

The DG ISPR noted that during the terrorist operation, perpetrators maintained contact with their handlers in Afghanistan.

On March 12, when our forces engaged the terrorists using snipers, a group of hostages escaped from their captors and were rescued by FC personnel, while some hostages were killed by terrorist gunfire.
