The Jafar Express, scheduled to travel from Quetta to Peshawar, will not operate tomorrow.

Railway control reported that repairs on Jafar Express remain incomplete. Cleaning tasks for the train are also ongoing. The train’s departure for Peshawar will occur only after full repairs and cleaning are finalized.

On March 11, the banned BLA launched an attack on Jafar Express, holding over 400 passengers hostage. Security forces neutralized all 33 terrorists following a two-day operation.

On March 14, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Army addressed inquiries about casualties from the attack, confirming that 26 passengers died, and 354 hostages were rescued, including 37 injuries.

Eighteen deceased were from the Army and FC, three from railways and other departments, and five were civilians.
