According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists.

ISPR said that security forces launched the operation on March 17, 2025, after receiving intelligence reports about the presence of khawarij terrorists in the area.

During the operation, security personnel effectively targeted the terrorist hideout, resulting in the elimination of three khawarij.

Weapons and ammunition were seized from the slain terrorists, who were reportedly involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the region.

Following the operation, a sanitisation operation was conducted to eliminate any remaining threats.

“Security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country,” the ISPR statement said.

President praises security forces

President Asif Ali Zardari commended the security forces for the successful operation and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to completely eliminating khawarij threats.

“Our security forces are actively working to eradicate terrorism, and the entire nation stands firmly with them,” the president stated.

Prime minister’s tribute

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the security forces for their successful action against the extremists. He praised the professionalism and dedication of officers and personnel involved in the operation.

“We will continue this fight until the menace of terrorism is completely eradicated from the country,” the prime minister said, adding that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces in this battle.

Interior minister’s statement

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also appreciated the successful intelligence-based operation in Khyber District.

“Eliminating these three khawarij terrorists is a remarkable achievement, and we commend our security forces for thwarting their nefarious plans,” he said.

The minister further stated that counterterrorism operations will continue across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until every terrorist and their facilitators are completely eliminated.
