In a bid to provide relief to the public, the Sindh government has instructed transport authorities to regulate fares effectively.

A crackdown will be launched against those charging excessive rates during the holiday period, with the DIG Traffic and commissioners tasked with taking immediate action against violators.

Minister Memon stressed that the Sindh government is committed to shielding the public from additional financial strain during Eid.

He assured that strict measures will be enforced against those found overcharging, emphasizing that exploitation of the public will not be tolerated.

He further stated that arbitrary fare practices will be eradicated, with fines and legal consequences for transporters who fail to adhere to designated fares.

Transport operators are required to comply with set rates; failure to do so will result in legal action.

Memon encouraged the public to promptly report any instances of overcharging by transporters.
