The well-known actress took to Instagram, alleging that an FIA official asked for a large sum of money to settle the case. She also leaked an audio recording of the alleged conversation.

Expressing her outrage, Nadia wrote: “I am shocked that such people shamelessly extort money from helpless women.”

In a dramatic tone, she addressed the alleged official by saying, “Nauman Bhai, you called me ‘beta’ (daughter). My only response is—beta, now you’re in trouble!”

FIA responds: The bribe call was a scam

FIA officials clarified that they had already informed Nadia Hussain that the bribe call was a scam.

The fraudster had used a fake display picture of an FIA officer on WhatsApp to appear credible. The number has since been traced to a suspect from Vehari.

FIA further stated that they will pursue the case under the PECA (Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act), as such fraudulent calls have been reported before. Authorities have urged the public to remain cautious.
