He stated that when the ruling elite considers itself all-knowing and tries to resolve every issue through force, such incidents are bound to happen.

“When the judiciary and constitution are held hostage, non-state actors take advantage,” he remarked.

Speaking on Aaj TV’s programme “News Insight with Aamir Zia”, Baloch criticised Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, saying his speech on the province’s issues was equivalent to pouring fuel on the fire.

“Unfortunately, it is always the lower class that suffers,” he added.

He pointed out that while minor committees have been formed in the past to address Balochistan’s problems, there has never been a serious effort.

“We believed that after the 18th Amendment, life in Balochistan would change, and people would gain political rights, but instead, it has only led to further exploitation.”

The BNP leader stressed that Balochistan’s conflict is not unique compared to global struggles.

“Historically, conflicts and insurgencies have always been resolved through dialogue. Both the establishment and our disillusioned youth must recognise this reality,” he asserted.

Baloch further stated that a specific segment of Balochistan’s population believes Islamabad treats the province as a colony, depriving its people of their rights.

“This mindset is not unfounded — the sense of deprivation among the people continues to grow,” he concluded.
