Passengers rescued from the Jaffar Express attack have expressed deep gratitude to the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) for their swift and courageous response.

Speaking about their ordeal, they said FC personnel ensured their safety and even provided them with food to break their fast.

“We were brought from the Paneer railway station to Mashk on a freight train. The FC soldiers took great care of us and ensured our well-being,” said one of the rescued passengers.

Recalling the terrifying moments of the attack, a survivor shared, “There was a sudden explosion, followed by gunfire. FC personnel immediately came to our rescue and evacuated us to safety.”

The attack on the Quetta-to-Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express occurred on Tuesday, where more than 400 passengers were taken hostage. A clearance operation by security forces resulted in the elimination of 30 terrorists and the successful rescue of 190 hostages.
