&lt;p&gt;The weather in the city was hot and dry. The maximum temperature recorded was 37.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday while the minimum temperature was noted at 20.5 degrees Celsius.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The humidity level in the air was at 70 per cent, the Met Office said. Winds were blowing from the northeast at a speed of six kilometres per hour.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The air quality in the city was reported to be “unhealthy,” with an air quality index (AQI) indicating that the level of particulate matter in the air reached 186 at 9:50am.&lt;/p&gt;
