      <title>Maryam Nawaz orders strict enforcement of minimum wage across Punjab</title>

&lt;p&gt;Chairing a special meeting attended by Provincial Labour Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar and other officials, CM Maryam Nawaz made key decisions for the welfare of workers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;She emphasised that the minimum wage of Rs. 37,000 per month must be ensured for all workers in the province.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Additionally, she instructed the development of labor colonies across Punjab and mandated the overhaul of social security hospitals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;She also announced the establishment of Maryam Nawaz Wellness Centres in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad for pre-screening, where patients will be referred to major hospitals for further treatment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During the meeting, a 200-bed Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Cardiology Centre was approved for Lahore’s Defence Road, while a 50-bed social security hospital was sanctioned for Rahim Yar Khan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The chief minister also directed amendments to labour laws to further enhance workers’ welfare.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Addressing the session, CM Maryam Nawaz stated, “Workers are the friends of God, and we cannot afford to neglect them. We are committed to making Punjab a model province for labor welfare.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;She further added that ensuring fair wages, access to healthcare, better employment opportunities, and housing for workers is the government’s responsibility.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“No worker should go to bed hungry, nor should anyone suffer hardships. We are also providing quality education opportunities for workers’ children,” she affirmed.&lt;/p&gt;
