In Aaj News’ Ramazan transmission, “ Baran-e-Rehmat“ Mufti Mohsin al-Zaman shared crucial insights regarding women’s rights.

He highlighted the words of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who stated, “I am the best among you because I am good to my family.”

He pointed out that prior to Islam, women were often denied the status they rightly deserved, with some cultures even practicing infanticide of daughters, viewing them as a misfortune.

In Islam, women’s rights are given significant importance, with clear principles established for their protection. The Quran and Hadith provide balanced and justice-oriented rulings, ensuring women receive dignity, respect, and equal rights in judicial matters.

Islamic teachings encompass women’s social, financial, educational, and spiritual rights. Islam, however, conferred unprecedented respect upon women, recognizing mothers as gateways to Paradise and viewing daughters as blessings.

Mufti al-Zaman noted that a brother is promised Paradise for properly raising and marrying his sister if their father is absent.

He further emphasized that Islam grants women the same right to seek knowledge as men. Additionally, women were made heirs to inheritance, a right not afforded by any other religion prior to Islam.
