Speaking to the media in Islamabad, he emphasised that PTI is being compelled towards resistance, but it remains committed to dialogue.

“Maulana Fazlur Rehman and our party have mutual reservations. We want to address his concerns, just as we want ours to be addressed,” Akbar said.

He added that PTI would communicate the viewpoints of both parties to its founding leader, Imran Khan.

He also expressed PTI’s desire for Maulana Fazlur Rehman to join the opposition alliance, stating, “We do not want to engage in resistance politics, but circumstances are forcing us.

We are political people who believe in dialogue. If we are not allowed political engagement, what can be expected from us?“

Commenting on international relations, Akbar said that PTI had no expectations from the United States.

“We were never dependent on the US, and we had concerns regarding the Biden administration’s role,” he remarked.
