The country’s exports stood at $2.43 billion for the month, while the total trade deficit for the first eight months of the current fiscal year (July-February) reached $15.78 billion.

The latest data shows a rise in the trade deficit compared to the previous year.

During the same period in the last fiscal year, the trade gap was $14.80 billion, indicating a notable increase.

The PBS report further revealed that Pakistan’s total exports from July to February amounted to $22.02 billion, compared to $20.35 billion in the corresponding period last year.

Imports also grew by 7.40% in the first eight months, while exports saw an 8.17% increase during the same timeframe.

However, on a month-on-month basis, exports in February 2025 dropped by 17.35% compared to January and were also 5.57% lower than from February 2024.
