Provincial Minister Sadiq Umrani emphasized that the closure of the national highway between Quetta and Karachi has compelled many residents to rely on air travel, particularly for transporting patients.

The resolution points out that airlines have drastically increased their fares, with one-way tickets now priced at Rs70,000.

Previously, airfares for routes between Quetta and Karachi or Islamabad ranged from Rs17,000 to Rs20,000, but have now escalated to between Rs72,000 and Rs100,000.

The provincial minister and other supporters of the resolution are urging the government to engage with federal authorities to ensure a fair reduction in these rates.
