The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has issued a circular confirming that the embassy suggested registering workers to help facilitate their employment in Uzbekistan.

The BEOE has instructed all Protectorate of Emigrants Offices to register workers for this purpose, ensuring the protection of the interests of those intending to emigrate.

The decision is made in anticipation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s two-day visit to Uzbekistan in the last week of February.

Pakistani citizens intending to work in Uzbekistan must obtain visa protection from the appropriate department to safeguard their rights in the host country.

Fee structure for emigrants seeking direct employment:

• Life insurance fee: Rs2,500 (covers life risk for up to Rs1 million for five years)
• OPF welfare fund fee: Rs4,000
• Registration fee: Rs2,500
• OEC fee: Rs200
• Total fee: Rs9,200

Fee structure for emigrants through overseas employment promoters:

• Life insurance fee: Rs2,500
• OEP service charges: Rs15,000 (additional Rs6,000 for processing cases)
• Registration fee: Rs500
• OEC fee: Rs200
• Welfare fund (OPF): Rs4000
• Total fee: Rs22,200
