According to police officials, the suspects were apprehended during search operations conducted in various parts of Kurram.

The arrested militants have been shifted to an undisclosed location, while operations continue to track down other suspects linked to the attack.

Government orders evacuation of four villages

In response to the worsening law and order situation, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to evacuate four villages in Lower Kurram to facilitate search operations against armed groups.

According to official sources, the villages of Ochat, Mandori, Dadkamar, and Bagan will be cleared for targeted operations against militants.

Following the Kohat Peace Agreement, the district administration has intensified operations against bunkers used by armed groups.

So far, 194 bunkers have been demolished across Kurram, including 117 bunkers in Balishkhel and Kharkali (Lower Kurram) and 77 bunkers in Pewar and Tari Mangal (Upper Kurram).

142 days of road closure

Meanwhile, the main road connecting Parachinar and Tall remained blocked for 142 consecutive days, leaving thousands of residents stranded.

According to social activist Ali Jawad, the road closure has severely impacted nearly 1,500 students and over 2,000 overseas Pakistanis who are unable to leave the region.

Many citizens face visa expirations, while students risk losing an academic year due to the continued blockade.

The Transport Association and residents have urged the government to immediately reopen the road and address the growing crisis.
