At the launching ceremony at Expo Centre, Lahore, Maryam Nawaz emphasised that public relief remains a top priority.

She stated that within just one year, projects equivalent to a five-year development plan have been initiated.

She added that 500 more electric buses will arrive in August, making Punjab’s public transport environmentally friendly.

She declared that the “Green Punjab” vision is now a reality.

Special individuals will receive free bus cards, while fares for electric buses will range between Rs20 to Rs35.

The Punjab CM also issued a strict warning against harassment of women, ensuring that offenders will be held accountable.

Maryam Nawaz also announced that Punjab’s first government-run air ambulance service will be operational soon.

She also announced that patients from Balochistan will receive treatment at Punjab’s government-run cancer hospital.

Criticised previous govt

Maryam Nawaz criticised the previous provincial government, claiming that they would not operate without bribes.

Speaking at multiple events, she stressed that political differences should be expressed with decency, but some groups resort to attacks on the country’s institutions.

Meeting with Balochistan’s students and faculty

At the Chief Minister’s Office, Maryam Nawaz met with 49 female students and 14 women faculty members from various universities and colleges in Balochistan.

She presented them with laptops and gifts, while the visitors honoured her with a traditional Balochi shawl.

She announced that Punjab’s scholarship programme — which will provide 13,000 students with financial aid and 100,000 students with laptops — will now also include students from Balochistan.

The delegation praised Punjab’s education, health, and infrastructure projects, stating that Punjab is leading the way compared to other provinces.
