According to a spokesperson for the KP government, a high-level meeting was held to assess the security situation in Kurram.

The meeting resulted in a firm decision to launch an extensive crackdown on the elements responsible for the violence in Lower Kurram.

Officials disclosed that four villages — Ochat, Mandori, Dad Kamar, and Bagan — will be evacuated to ensure the safety of residents.

The government emphasised that this measure is being taken to prevent civilian casualties, and search operations will be conducted in these areas once they are cleared.

The provincial administration has also resolved to add individuals involved in anti-state activities in Kurram to the Fourth Schedule, effectively placing them under increased scrutiny and restrictions.

Furthermore, bounties will be placed on the masterminds behind the ongoing unrest in the region.

In light of the recent attack, authorities have temporarily halted the distribution of financial aid in Kurram.

Additionally, the process of demolishing unauthorised bunkers in the region has been expedited.

The government reiterated its commitment to enforcing the peace agreement, emphasising the need for a strict crackdown on illegal weapons in Kurram.

It was also made clear that peace committees, formed under the agreement, must fulfil their responsibilities to maintain stability in the region.
