The Afghan delegation departed from Kabul on Saturday for a week-long tour, which included officials from the Ministries of Higher Education, Foreign Affairs, and Economics.

In a statement released on Saturday, Latif Naziri, the Deputy Minister of Economics, emphasised Afghanistan’s desire to build honourable relations with the world.

He stressed that these efforts aim to make Afghanistan a strong, united, developed, prosperous, and active member of the global community.

Naziri further explained that the visit is part of the Taliban’s ongoing efforts to become an active member of the international community.

The Taliban representatives plan to discuss human aid requests and potentially explore diplomatic relations with Japanese officials. However, Japan has yet to issue any official statement regarding the visit.

It is worth noting that while the Taliban delegation has visited neighbouring countries, Central Asia, Russia, and China, they have also undertaken a diplomatic mission to Europe, specifically for meetings in Norway.

This marks a significant step in the Taliban’s foreign diplomacy, highlighting their continued efforts to engage globally.
