The court mandated the formation of a medical board for the procedure, instructing the health secretary to oversee its establishment.

The magistrate has ordered that the exhumation be carried out and a report submitted within seven days.

The request was submitted by the investigating officer handling the case.

Background

Mustafa, a BBA student, went missing on January 6, and charred remains, presumed to be his, were discovered in a burned car near the Hub checkpost shortly thereafter. Investigation officers claimed that Mustafa had a heated argument with his friend Aramghan on New Year’s night, after which Aramghan allegedly threatened him.

On the day of victim’s disappearance, the prime suspect reportedly called him and subjected him to violence.

Following the discovery of the remains, murder charges were added based on statements from a second suspect, Shiraz Bukhari, who is “believed to have helped plan the crime.”

Police confirmed that the burnt vehicle was reported to them on January 11 and the body was transferred for a post-mortem examination.
