They used to run “LI” – an illegal business where fake call centres scam foreign users – traded bitcoins, and supplied drugs in schools, Aaj News correspondent Saulat Jaffery said while quoting the police investigation reports.

He was on the news programme Dus on Saturday where he shared details of the case. According to the police record, the reporter said that Mustafa was booked in a drug case in 2014 after being found selling drugs.

Amir, a Karachi resident, went missing on January 6, according to the police. His charred body was found in a car in Balochistan, they told reporters in a press conference on Friday.

Police added that they got to know about the death after a suspect made a shocking confession to them during the investigation.

As the story unfolds, investigators said on Saturday that the conflict leading to the missing person’s death arose from a dispute involving a girl.

Jaffery added that the prime suspect has also a criminal record. They were accused of supplying drugs, and weed in posh schools. When reporters approached Mustafa’s family about the allegations, he said they denied that their son was related to the drug business.

But when Anti-Narcotics Forces reports were shown to them, they admitted that their son was caught selling drugs and had been in jail in the past.

He added that the police have contacted Interpol to trace the female suspect who allegedly fled to the United States after the killing.

Police have claimed to have seized at least 65 laptops from Armaghan’s house, however, the suspect’s family has claimed that they took away 200 laptops. Morevover, heavy arms were also found in the suspect’s house.
