Amir, a Karachi resident, went missing on January 6, according to the police. His charred body was found in a car in Balochistan, they told reporters in a press conference on Friday.

Police added that they got to know about the death after a suspect made a shocking confession to them during the investigation.

As the story unfolds, investigators said on Saturday that the conflict leading to the missing person’s death arose from a dispute involving a girl.

They have also challenged an order regarding the registration of a case against the raiding team. In the petition filed, the prosecutor stated that the administrative judge of the anti-terrorism court had sent the accused to jail.

He added that it was a “highly serious case” and sending the accused to jail before the investigation began was “against the principles of justice.”

The prosecutor requested that the court grant permission for the suspect’s physical remand, arguing that the order for a case against the police party was “incomprehensible.” The prosecutor urged the court to “nullify” the administrative judge’s decision.

The hearing for the petition is expected to take place on Monday.
