Proceedings at a court in Karachi about the suspected murder of Mustafa Amir were briefly disrupted by the father of primary suspect, Armughan on Saturday. Kamran Qureshi attempted to force his way into the judge’s chamber, insisting on a meeting regarding his son’s ongoing case.

Witnesses reported that Qureshi confronted court officials, stating that his son’s case was ongoing in court, and he wanted to speak with the judge.

When police intervened to prevent his entry, he reacted aggressively, pushing away a police officer and misbehaving with others.

The incident escalated tensions within the courtroom, leading authorities to call for additional police and Rangers personnel to ensure safety and manage the situation.

The court proceedings were temporarily halted as security was heightened to prevent any further disturbances.

Investigators have disclosed that the motive behind Mustafa’s murder was a conflict involving a girl.

According to investigative officials, Mustafa and the accused, Armughan, were friends who became embroiled in a heated argument on New Year’s Eve over the girl.

Following their altercation, Armughan allegedly threatened both Mustafa and the girl.

In a press conference on Friday, Crime Investigation Agency Deputy Inspector General (CIA-DIG) Muqaddas Haider confirmed that Mustafa was still alive as he was lit on fire.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday raised concerns regarding the court’s decision not to grant physical remand of the suspect in the Mustafa murder case to the police.
