According to media reports, the anticipated strike could set Iran’s nuclear programme back by weeks or even months.

However, such an attack could also escalate tensions in the region, especially given the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and the West Bank.

The intelligence assessment suggests that Israel could target Iran’s Fordo and Natanz nuclear sites.

However, both the Israeli government and its key ally, the United States, have yet to comment on the report.

In response to the reports, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that while adversaries may attack nuclear facilities, they cannot eliminate Iran’s nuclear capabilities entirely.

He emphasised that Iran has the ability to rebuild and restart its nuclear programme if necessary.

Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump recently suggested that he would prefer negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran rather than resorting to military action.

In an interview with an American newspaper, Trump stated, “If we reach an agreement, Israel won’t need to bomb Iran,” though he declined to reveal specific details of any potential US approach to Tehran.
