      <title>Justice Ghaffar sworn in as acting chief justice of Sindh High Court</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar was sworn in as the acting chief justice of the Sindh High Court on Friday after the former judge’s elevation to the Supreme Court.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori administered the oath of office to the judge at the Governor’s House in Karachi, with attendance from the additional attorney general, SHC judges, and advocate general for Sindh.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Justice Ghaffar was born on September 14, 1963, and earned his LLB degree in 1990.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He was appointed as an additional judge of the SHC in 2013 and became a permanent judge in 2014.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The total number of judges in the high court has risen to 36 and Justice Ghaffar holds the top position on the seniority list.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also, seven judges &lt;a href="https://english.aaj.tv/news/330402770/seven-judges-of-supreme-court-of-pakistan-sworn-in"&gt;including&lt;/a&gt; justices Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar, Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui, Salahuddin Panhwar, Shakeel Ahmad, Aamer Farooq, Ishtiaq Ibrahim, and Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb (acting judge) took the oath in Supreme Court.&lt;/p&gt;
