Meeting with UAE President

PM Shehbaz met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed in Abu Dhabi, where he was received with a warm welcome. Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir also attended the meeting.

As part of his participation in the World Governments Summit 2025, themed “Shaping Future Governments,” PM Shehbaz discussed strategies to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.

Talks focused on strengthening economic, trade, and development partnerships, aligning with both nations’ vision for sustainable growth and prosperity.

The leaders also discussed regional and global security challenges, highlighting the importance of diplomatic efforts for stability in the Middle East.

They emphasised the need for accelerating international initiatives to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace based on a two-state solution.

Meeting with Sri Lankan president

In Dubai, PM Shehbaz met Sri Lankan President Dissanayake on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit.

This marked their first official meeting, during which they reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing goodwill between the two nations.

The discussions covered key aspects of bilateral relations, including trade and sports cooperation. Both leaders explored new opportunities for high-level exchanges and agreed to expand collaboration in multiple sectors.

The Sri Lankan President praised the enduring and strong ties between the two brotherly nations.

Meeting with Kuwaiti prime minister

PM Shehbaz also met Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah in Dubai. Both leaders reviewed the progress of Pakistan-Kuwait relations, expressing satisfaction with the positive trajectory of their partnership.

Discussions included expanding economic and diplomatic cooperation while addressing regional developments in the Middle East and South Asia.

Both leaders stressed the urgency of a ceasefire in Gaza and called for increased humanitarian aid to support Palestinian civilians.

These high-profile meetings underline Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering regional stability through strategic partnerships and mutual cooperation.
