PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s daughter, Meher Bano Qureshi, was detained during a protest in Multan, with Zahid Bahar Hashmi and Dalir Meher at Pull Chatta for breaching Section 144.

Three special checkpoints have been established on Srinagar Highway, Islamabad and a heavy police presence has been deployed at entry points.

Authorities are conducting thorough vehicle inspections and have decided to crack down on convoys heading to Swabi from the twin cities.

In Azad Kashmir, PTI activists held a protest outside the Press Club Bagh, despite the administration’s imposition of Section 144.

The demonstrators called for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and protested against electoral fraud.

Speakers at the rally criticized the Pakistani government, claiming it has disregarded the constitution and law to target PTI for political revenge, demanding their immediate release.

They also condemned the arrests of PTI leaders and activists in Azad Kashmir.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced that it will avoid any confrontation or unrest on February 8, marking the first anniversary of last year’s general elections, and instead plans to organize a large rally in Swabi.

Previously, PTI had requested permission to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, but the deputy commissioner denied the request, citing concerns about maintaining law and order.
